Full-Stack Engineer · Can Tho, Vietnam

I ship full-stack products end to end, then make them fast enough that nobody brings up performance again.

01 — Experience

Five years of shipping products end to end.

Most recently my own studio, alongside four Shopify storefronts as the sole front-end engineer. Before that: review platforms, medical software, and the pipelines that kept them releasable.

    vzlab

    Founder & EngineerMy startup

My own studio. Three products built and shipped since January, all three live on the Shopify App Store.

    • Founded a technical studio building Shopify apps. Service Ops, Team Up and Thynk are all live on the Shopify App Store.
    • Designed every product edge-native on Cloudflare — Workers, Durable Objects, D1, R2 — so they run with no origin server and near-zero fixed cost.
    • Owned the whole surface: architecture, UI, billing, App Store review, support and marketing.

    Scentiment

    Shopify Developer· Remote

Four storefronts, one engineer, 99/100 on PageSpeed.

    • Run four Shopify stores in parallel — theme work, Shopify Plus configuration, and custom apps — as the sole engineer on the front end.
    • Rebuilt the theme and its underlying structure, taking Google PageSpeed to 99/100 and keeping it there through subsequent feature work.
    • Upgraded a legacy codebase in place, without a freeze on merchandising changes.

  3. Oct 2023 — May 2024

    MeowCart

    · Remote

Led the migration that moved the product off PHP.

    • Led the PHP → Node migration for the app platform, incrementally and without downtime.
    • Built Shopify apps across several frameworks — Remix, Express, Liquid theme extensions.
    • Refactored the existing codebase to make feature work predictable again.

    React
    GraphQL
    MongoDB
    Firebase
    Liquid
  4. 2023 — 2024

    b13.ai

    · Remote

One codebase, three platforms, on a no-code substrate.

    • Delivered features across Android, iOS and web from a single Bubble.io application.
    • Refactored a core module that had become the bottleneck for every new release.
    Bubble.io
  5. May 2022 — Sep 2023

    Ausgezeichnet.org — NFQ

    · On-site

The longest engagement, and where I learned to argue about product.

    • Built and redesigned a ratings and review platform integrated with Google Reviews.
    • Worked directly with the Product Owner on business ideas, then implemented them — including saying no to the ones that would have cost more than they returned.
    • Introduced automated CI/CD on GitHub Actions and Docker, and drove down accumulated technical debt.

  6. Jan 2022 — May 2022

    Real-estate platform

    · Remote

Property listings and editorial, owned end to end.

    • Built a Laravel application for advertising property listings and publishing news articles.
    • Owned front end, back end, and the deployment process.

    Laravel
    MariaDB
    Eloquent
    Material UI
  7. Nov 2021 — Apr 2022

    Physiotherapy medical SPA

    · Remote

Medical records and physical hardware, in one interface.

    • Built a single-page application for tracking medical records and controlling physiotherapy devices over an MQTT broker.
    • Redesigned the whole interface, adding the motion and interaction the clinical workflow needed to stay legible.

    React
    Tailwind

    MongoDB
  8. Jan 2021 — Feb 2022

    Medical tracking platform

    · Remote

First real product: a stroke-patient platform for doctors and patients.

    • Designed and implemented both sides of a web application used by stroke patients and their doctors.
    • Turned the client's concept into a shipped product, advising on scope and best practice along the way.
    • Set up CI/CD on Jenkins and redesigned the entire site.

02 — My startup

vzlab — engineering products that solve real problems.

A technical studio building commerce software. I look for the manual workflow — the spreadsheet, the group chat, the sticky note on the counter — and replace it with something reliable and polished on modern cloud infrastructure.

Service Ops

Live on the Shopify App Store

Turns Shopify into a full service-management system: tickets from intake through delivery, deposits taken through Shopify checkout, and a shareable status link so customers stop phoning to ask.

  • Four pricing tiers, from a free plan to enterprise
  • Shopify POS integration for in-person intake
  • AI-assisted intake and drafting on higher tiers
  • Built for tailors, phone repair, dry cleaners, jewellers, bike shops

Team Up

Live on the Shopify App Store

Group ordering for decorated-apparel businesses. The organiser shares one link, each participant picks their own size and design, and the shop gets a single consolidated invoice plus production sheets generated for them.

  • Replaces the spreadsheet-and-group-chat workflow
  • Automatic production sheets per order

Thynk

Live on the Shopify App Store

An AI operations manager for Shopify. Ask it about live store data, hand it a task, or schedule a workflow — and reach it from the Shopify admin, Slack, or Telegram.

  • Talks to other connected apps over MCP
  • Scheduled, recurring automations

03 — Selected work

Six builds, and what each one actually solved.

Each case study covers the problem before the stack, because the stack was never the interesting part.

05 — Contact

Open to work worth doing.

Five years shipping products end to end. I'm at my best turning a rough idea into something real — finding the manual workflow hiding inside a request, picking a stack that won't fight back, and owning it from data model to deployed interface. I've done it solo often enough to know which shortcuts cost you later.
